X-wing Scum Practice

So having not had much real flying experience with Scum I met up with a good friend to try some Scum out.
While I am thinking of Regional lists, the main thing here is to, have fun and fly different ships, while also learning how to fly and beat them.

Game 1
My List

Palob, Blaster, Title
Cartel, Mango x3
Binarye

Vs

2 StarVipers
IGB

So this game was a great laugh, IG landing on rocks in front of my entire formation hurt, he did survive but not for long after, and Palob just nicking all the focus tokens which caused all sorts of hassle. Good game
Win 100-40
Learnt, Palob is nasty and forces the other player to use Target locks etc instead, but Mango Cannons are nasty against ships such as Starvipers that dont have many shields.

Game 2
My list
IGC, PTL, Adv Sensors, Autothrusters, Hot shot
Kath, Predator, Engine, K4 Security Droid

Vs
Blue Pilot x2
Roark
Kyle

So this game turned quick. My main targets were the B-wings after that I had to try and keep IGC behind the Hwks, which went quite well, but the IG was only on 1 Hull left, and Kath spent way to many turns away from the fight
Win 100-0
Learnt, Got to keep Kath nearer fight, rear arc is great, but running away and using it isn't always the best option
Game 2, Kath swinging around for more action

Game 3
My List
Kath, Preadtor, Engine, Recon
Emon, Preadtor, Recon, Title, 3x Mines

Vs
IGB
2 Star vipers

So you always learn more losing then winning, and this was the case, I was so determined to use bombs, that I set myself up for a lose, I used one mine in the end and only because I wanted to (we knew it wasn't going to hit anything) use it before I blew up.
Lose 0-100
Learnt, fly normally and only use bombs if needed, I dont think Emon is a pilot that suits my play style
Game 3, Starvipers hurting Kath

Game 4
My list
Kath and 4 Binaryre
I forgot to write down upgrades

Vs
IGB
2x Starvipers

A quickish game, saw my headhunters put damage on the IG with Kath, leaving it on just 2 Hull early, after that, the IG fell and the starvipers soon after
Win 100-12
Learnt, I didnt learn much this game, as I thought I flew really well, but in case of his IG is dont get it stuck near a swarm of any kind.

Overall a good day learning about Scum and we had a long chat after about possible Scum lists for the future.

:)

St Neots Casual Conquest event

So 4 of us played, in a causal event, no prizes, just a chance for us to meet up and play!

Me- Tau, Aunshi
Colin- Orks, Zogwort
Matt-Eldar, Eldorath
Darren- Imperial guard, Stracken

Game 1
vs Matt
Planets 1-4
Lost via planets
A quite quick game, even if we were on the 5th planet, Matt dominated and I couldnt do much about it, I should of tried to blood his Warlord quicker.

Other Game
Colin vs Darren-   Darren win

Game 2
vs Colin
Planets 4-2
Win via planets
A good close game, that went to the 6th planet, it was close all the way though, I blooded Zogwort quite early which was a really good move, as I was able to out number his Orks in most of the fights.

Other Game
Darren vs Matt-    Darren win

Game 3
vs Darren
Planets 3-2
Win via Warlord kill
Killed Stracken on the 5th planet, by now I have learnt that Aunshi wants to be played quite aggressive to hurt the other player

Other game
Colin vs Matt-   Matt wins

Final scores
Matt-2 wins
Darren-2 wins
Me-2 wins
Colin-0 wins

So no outright winner, but fun was had!!

Lessons learnt-
So I learnt that Aunshi needs cards that help him get back into the fight and wants to flood planets with lots of low costing units, lots of deck changing is needed for next time!

X-wing official UK event

So on Saturday it was the first Official UK X-wing event which was run by the owner of the largest UK X-wing facebook page.
28 players lined up and off we went!
I brought a list, I am thinking of using at the regionals
Han, VI, C3PO, R2D2, Title
Blue x2

Ships getting destroyed!

Round 1-
Vs
Lando
Dash

To sum up this game, Lando didnt have fun, he went down and couldnt hit or evade to save his live.
Dash had a good go, but in the end, Han and a remaining B-wing took him down

Win 100-22

Chase Dash!

 Round 2
Vs
Duel Aggressors B and C

He made the mistake of going after the B-wings first, and time he took one out, he was heavily damaged, Han easily mopping up again.

Win 100-22
Here comes Han!

Round 3-
Vs
Rookie
Blue
Kyle
Roark

A very close game, both B-wings went down early, and so Han had a lot of work to do, but in the end Han was able to arc dodge enough and deal enough damage to take out all the other ships

Win 100-44

Run Han!
 Round 4
Vs
Corran
Biggs
Bandits x2

Started quite well for me, taking Biggs and a Bandit out for the cost of a Blue, but from there no mater how much firepower I put into Corran he would evade it all, some good green dice by Corran and in the end he hunted down Han for the win

Lose 42-100
First Contact
 Game 5
Vs
Whisper
Soontir
Shuttle

Funny old game, I should of lost, but I won 100-0? work that out, Han was down to 1 Hull for 4-5 turns, but Whisper and Soontir couldnt get a shot onto him, meaning Han and the B-wings were able to take them down, Han couldnt believe how lucky he was!

Win 100-0

So a final score of 4-1 not bad, and a overall finish of second place :)

Prizes for me :) A small ship, PTL alt art, Rulers and a Medal :)

Right a conquest report to come soon :)

St Neots Casual X-wing event

So we finally got a some group of people together for a x-wing event.
All prizes were given out randomly except everyone got 2 Push the Limit Alt cards :)
We also used the new FAQ

Here are the lists :)

My list (Scum)
I thought I would bring 3 ships I am yet to field on the table, main idea here is to give me a idea how they fly. The list is a bit random but thats the fun behind it :)

IG88B, PTL, Mangler, Inertial Dampeners
Cartel Spacer, Heavy Scyk, Mangler
Guri, Adv sensors, Auto-thrusters, Virago

Colin (Imperial)
Rexlar, Pred, HLC, stealth
Mauler, stealth
Academy, stealth x2

Ant (Rebels)
Outer rim smuggler, weapon engineer
Luke Skywalker
Rookie x2

Darren (Imperials)
Darth Vader, pred, shield, homing missiles
Relxar, cluster missile, shield, expert handling
Academy

Brian (Imperial)
Whisper, VI, ACD, Intelligence agent
Soontir, PTL, Hull
Turr Phennir, VI, Hull

So 3 imperials, 1 rebel and 1 scum, could be fun :)
And it was :)

Round 1-
Brian Bye

Round 1, Scum Hunting rebels

Round 1, Imperil vs Imperial
Luke 100 vs Ant 36
The scum and rebels fought a close fight, with the Scum coming out on top just, with the Cartel Spacer, taking the credit for all 4 kills, but limped away badly damaged, a very close game, in which the rebels struggled to get a lock on the Scum ships.

Colin 59 vs Darren 15
The Imperial forces faced off, with Vader wanting the other fleet destroyed for some unknown reason, but after a long fight, were only minor damage was being inflicted, Vader pulled his forces out to fight another day.

Round 2-
Ant Bye

Brain 12 vs Darren 0
Vader again goes hunting down other Imperial forces and again a long drawn out fight sees almost no ships going down, except a poor academy pilot. Vader once again cuts his loses and falls back from the fight.

Luke 100 vs Colin 20
The Scum get mixed in quick with the Imperials, doing some heavy damage to Rexlar and taking out Mauler completely. The Imperials fought back strongly destroying the Cartel Spacer, but once IG-88 had hunted his prey and taken out Rexlar the Academy's had  alot of work to do. Why they were able to inflict massive damage, it wasnt enough to stop the relentless assassin droid finishing its mission.

Round 2, Scum surrounding the Imperial forces

Round 2, Vader trying to hunt down a Phantom!

Round 3
Darren Bye

Colin 100 vs Ant 35
The Imperials hunted down a illegal smuggling shipment of the rebels, while the rebels put up a fight they were no match for Rexlar and his escort of Ties.

Brian 36 vs Luke 33
IG-88 arrived with a new mission, to hunt Whisper, but its not how it happened, the battle was long and ships were damaged including Guri and Soontir both being blown into space dust, but the Phantom and IG-88, while hunting each other were unable to have much effect, when finally the Imperial reinforcements arrived, and even IG-88 made a tactical move to fall back.

Round 3, Rexlar shutting down a illegal smuggling shipment

Round 3, IG-88 has the Phantom in its sights.

Good day other all :)
Also for some reason round 1 pictures will not go where they are meant to be! O well :)

Here are the final standings :)

1st- Brian
2nd-Luke
3rd-Colin
4th-Darren
5th-Ant

Hopefully we get to run move events soon :)
